MARKSVILLE, LA – Paragon Casino Resort presented a check for a donation of $5,000 to the Louisiana Association on Compulsive Gambling (LACG). The donation was made as a testament to Paragon’s efforts in providing support for organizations that benefit the surrounding communities.

“Paragon Casino Resort has a responsibility to enhance the well-being of our communities and it’s a responsibility we hold close to our hearts,” said Marshall Ray Sampson, Sr., Paragon Casino Resort General Manager. “We are honored to do our part and give back to those around us, helping in any way we can to make sure our friends and neighbors are well taken care of.”

The donation was presented to Don Pledger, LACG Executive Director, and his staff, by Lonnie Bridges, Sr., Paragon Casino Resort’s Training Director. Bridges is also a distinguished board member of LACG and a former president for the organization. The financial contribution will be used to bolster LACG’s initiatives and programming, enabling them to provide vital assistance to individuals and families affected by problem gambling, substance abuse or related mental health concerns.

“This type of contribution symbolizes Paragon’s unwavering commitment and support,” said Bridges. “Financial gifts like this allows LACG to keep fighting the good fight and help those who need it most through comprehensive treatment and helpline services.”
