WELCH, MN – In the first of a two-part initiative, Treasure Island Resort & Casino purchased $11,000 worth of gift cards from local businesses in seven neighboring communities on Small Business Saturday. The goal is to promote shopping locally while providing a unique way to reward staff. Gift cards purchased from area businesses will be used to creatively recognize Treasure Island team members in the months to come.
“Staffing is a great concern for every business right now,” said Mike Heavner, Treasure Island Resort & Casino General Manager. “The thought behind our initiative this holiday season is not only to support the local economy, but also to provide a means to reward and possibly help with staff retention.”
In the coming days, Treasure Island Resort & Casino will announce further details around part two of its holiday giving initiative, which will involve additional support of local businesses and their staffs.
