PHOENIX, AZ – The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) announced $23,022,403 in tribal gaming contributions to the Arizona Benefits Fund for the third quarter of Fiscal Year 2022, representing a 30.6 percent increase compared to the same quarter of Fiscal Year 2021.
“It’s exciting to see another strong quarter of tribal contributions, highlighting a robust tribal gaming market in Arizona,” said Ted Vogt, Director, ADG. “I am thankful for our continued partnership with Arizona tribes, whose contributions go to fund important programs throughout the state.”
The Arizona Benefits Fund receives 88 percent of tribal gaming contributions, providing significant dollars to help support instructional improvement in schools, trauma and emergency care, tourism and wildlife conservation throughout the state.
Tribal gaming contributions to the Arizona Benefits Fund for the third quarter of the State’s FY 2022 are as follows:
- Instructional Improvement Fund/Education – $11,474,366
- Trauma and Emergency Services Fund – $5,737,183
- Arizona Department of Gaming operating costs – $2,072,016
- Arizona Wildlife Conservation Fund – $1,639,195
- Tourism Fund – $1,639,195
- Problem Gambling Education, Treatment and Prevention – $460,448

Per the Arizona Tribal-State Gaming Compact, tribes with casinos contribute a percentage of their Class III gross gaming revenue to the state, cities, towns and counties. Currently, there are 24 Class III casinos in Arizona, which ADG regulates with Arizona tribes.
