PALM SPRINGS, CA – Casino Morongo has opened a new poker room and bingo hall, both part of a recent expansion and renovation complementing the classic style of the gaming destination.
Located beside the 27-story Morongo Casino Resort & Spa, the Casino Morongo Poker Room features 20 tables for daily play and tournaments, automatic shufflers on each table to streamline game play, and available game-side dining. The revamped Poker Room also offers Texas Hold’em or Omaha games and will air sports games on six wall-mounted TVs.
As part of the grand opening weekend, Morongo’s Poker Room will give away $500 cash every hour to a random Morongo Rewards member playing Texas Hold’em or Omaha set from noon on Friday, Apr. 1 until midnight on Monday, Apr. 4. There will also be double jackpots every even hour throughout the weekend.
Located beside the new Poker Room, the new Casino Morongo Bingo Hall features 250 seats and state-of-the-art electronic playing tablets to enhance the player experience. To welcome the space, Morongo is hosting a Bingo Room re-opening celebration on Friday, Apr. 1 starting at 3:00pm with the first game scheduled for 6:00pm that evening.
The Bingo Hall’s doors will open at 3:00pm every Wednesday through Saturday, with the first game at 6:00pm. On Sundays, doors will open at 11:00am with the first game at 2:00pm.
“We are thrilled to announce that bingo is back at Morongo, and cards are in the air in our new poker room,” said Richard St. Jean, Morongo’s Chief Operating Officer. “We’ve created two gorgeous new spaces for our poker and bingo players to enjoy and we are confident that these new accommodations will exceed our guests’ expectations for comfort and playability.”
The expanded Casino Morongo created more than 50 construction jobs and dozens of new full-time casino positions to add to the 2,500 jobs that Morongo already provides.
The project follows the 2020 renovation of the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa resort, which brought new furnishings and décor to the 27-story resort tower, as well as an expansion that gave Morongo one of the largest casino floors on the West Coast. The project included a remodel of all 310 of Morongo’s suites and guest rooms.
