COON RAPIDS, MN – Treasure Island Resort & Casino, the Minnesota PGA and its charitable arm, PGA REACH Minnesota will be hosting the fifth annual 100 Holes for HOPE charity golf event on June 16, 2022 at Mount Frontenac Golf Course in Frontenac, MN.
Since its inception in 2018, 100 Holes for HOPE has generated over $175,000 to support PGA REACH Minnesota and its military program, PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere). The event involves PGA professionals and military veterans who play 100 holes of golf on one of the longest days of the year. Through donations, pledges and partners, they are able to raise money for local PGA HOPE programs.
PGA HOPE is a therapeutic rehabilitation introduction to golf and is open to all veterans and active duty military with an emphasis on serving those with physical, emotional and PTSD challenges. It is the flagship program under the military pillar of PGA REACH Minnesota. According to the most recent census, six million of the 17.5 million veterans in the U.S. live with some form of disability. PGA HOPE is one way to support veterans by sharing the game of golf.
“It’s our duty to help those who have given so much to us and our country,” said Jeff Drimel, CEO of the Minnesota PGA/PGA REACH Minnesota. “By providing an outlet through golf, and to give back to these heroes, we are excited to continue raising awareness and financial support with 100 Holes for HOPE. We are always looking for others to step up to the plate to help this great cause.”
