Choctaw Development Fund Awards $5,000 Forgivable Loan to 3C Hat Company

DURANT, OK – 3C Hat Company has been awarded a $5,000 small business forgivable loan from Choctaw Nation Small Business Development and the Choctaw Development Fund.  

Owned by Choctaw Nation tribal member Dillon Cummins, 3C Hat Company is an event-based retail western wear company specializing in the sale, cleaning and shaping of western hats. 3C Hat Company travels to rodeo events in southeastern Oklahoma and North Texas selling hats and other western wear items. 

“This forgivable loan will provide me the opportunity to better serve my customers, and one day, hopefully expand my business into a storefront,” said Cummins. “Along with the forgivable loan, Choctaw Nation Small Business Development has provided me with access to trainings, networking opportunities and numerous other resources to help my business grow and I’m forever grateful for that.”  

The Choctaw Development Fund supports economic viability and sustainability by partnering with Choctaw small business owners, cities and municipalities to create long-term growth and job creation within the territories of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
