WORLEY, ID – Course raters have ranked Circling Raven No. 20 in Golfweek’s Best 2022: Top 50 Casino Golf Courses in America.
Designed by Gene Bates, Circling Raven has been ranked one of the country’s top casino courses since opening in 2003. It has also earned Top 100 Resort, No. 1 Public Course in Idaho, and Pro Shop Merchandiser of the Year honors on multiple occasions.
Hundreds of members of Golfweek‘s course ratings panel continually evaluate courses and rate them based on our 10 criteria. They also file a single, overall rating on each course. Those overall ratings on each course are averaged to produce a final rating for each that is then used to compile the Golfweek’s Best course rankings.
“It’s part of our mission to provide guests and visitors with first-class amenities,” said Laura Penney, CEO, Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel. “Receiving this critical acclaim is reinforcement that we are accomplishing this goal through Circling Raven.”
Owned by the Coeur d’Alene Tribe and an amenity of its award-winning casino resort in the scenic Idaho panhandle, Circling Raven’s 18 holes are routed across 620 acres of Palouse Region terrain. The course unfurls amid woodlands, wetlands and wildlife, including eagles and moose.
The course is home to the Circling Raven Championship presented by KXLY News 4, an Epson “#Road2LPGA” Tour event. This summer, more than 100 top women professionals vied for their share of the $200,000 prize purse.
Located approximately 50 minutes from Spokane International Airport, Circling Raven measures 7,189 yards from the rear tees. The golf club is one of several amenities that make the casino resort one of the most popular in the Western U.S. It features a full-service spa, recently renovated gaming floor, two hotel wings, multiple restaurants, live entertainment shows and events, and cultural activities that highlight the tribe’s history.
