AUBURN, CA – The United Auburn Indian Community (UAIC) has expanded its UAIC Non-Profit Grant Program, including an increase in the maximum award, up to $10,000.
The UAIC Non-Profit Grant Program is a merit-based funding opportunity for registered 501(c)(3) non-profits that have been in operation for at least three years and that provide direct services within the community. The program provides funding for projects that improve the health and general welfare of the community, or that increase the area’s cultural, social, and recreational opportunities. Funding decisions are based on an evaluation of the application and supporting materials, the likely impact of the program or project for which funding is sought, and a site visit with the requesting organization.
“We recognize and value the important impact that so many non-profit organizations make in our community,” said Gene Whitehouse, Chairman of the United Auburn Indian Community. “UAIC is proud to expand our Non-Profit Grant Program to support the people who are making a difference.”
The UAIC Non-Profit Grant Program includes two funding cycles. Grant applications are accepted in the spring and fall of each year. Applications for the spring 2023 funding cycle are currently open to non-profit organizations that provide services within Placer County, Nevada County, or the Greater Sacramento Region. Applications for the spring cycle are due March 15th, and non-profits that provide services in Placer County or Nevada County are given priority in grant consideration.
