PHOENIX, AZ – Bettors in Arizona wagered over $572 million in December of 2022, according to a new report by the Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG). This represents a 14.7 percent increase when compared to December of 2021.
“December of 2022 was another strong month for Arizona sports betting, with over $73 million more dollars wagered when compared to the same month of 2021,” said Jackie Johnson, Director, ADG. “This caps off a stellar first full calendar year of sports betting for the state, with over $6 billion wagered throughout 2022.”
Privilege fees totaled over $3.7 million in the month, resulting in nearly $35 million in privilege fees collected by the state since the start of legal operations.
