CABAZON, CA – The Morongo Band of Mission Indians has named Jason Carrizosa as Chief Administrative Officer of the Morongo Tribal Government and Christopher Reyes as Executive Director of the Morongo Gaming Agency.
“Morongo is excited to be promoting Jason Carrizosa and Christopher Reyes, whose combined expertise, unmatched innovation and demonstrated leadership skills will help ensure the continued success of our tribal government and our gaming operations,” said Morongo Tribal Chairman Charles Martin.
As Chief Administrative Officer, Carrizosa will oversee various Morongo tribal government departments, such as public safety, environmental protection, public works, and others. He is a Morongo tribal member who grew up on the Morongo reservation.
A 17-year veteran of the full-service Morongo Fire Department, Carrizosa was named the Morongo Fire Chief in 2021. He oversaw the 2023 launch of the Morongo ground and air ambulance program – the first operation of its kind in the nation – which provides life-saving critical care on the reservation and across the San Gorgonio Pass.
Reyes has worked for the Morongo Gaming Agency for more than 25 years and is recognized nationally as a leading expert in casino surveillance. He has over 40 years of experience in casino regulation and gaming operations.
As the Gaming Agency’s Executive Director, Reyes will help oversee the regulatory authority for the Morongo Band of Mission Indians and its gaming operations. The agency ensures the integrity and protection of the assets, the safety of the gaming facilities and of their employees and customers through enforcement and oversight of all tribal, federal, and state regulations.
