BROOKS, CA – Cache Creek Casino Resort and the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation recently hosted their inaugural charity golf tournament at the award-winning Yocha Dehe Golf Club.
Tribal leaders, vendors, and community partners gathered at the championship golf course with hopes to raise at least $50,000 for Special Olympics Northern California. The initial projections were far exceeded with nearly $70,000 raised going directly to the organization. The organization is dedicated to promoting inclusivity and empowering children and adults with intellectual disabilities, both on and off the field.
“The Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation remains committed to building strong, inclusive communities,” said Anthony Roberts, Tribal Chairman of Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation. “We are thrilled to share the natural beauty of our homelands with our valued partners to help raise funds for such an admirable organization.”

The second annual charity golf tournament is scheduled for May 2024.
