LAS VEGAS, NV – The International Gaming Standards Association (IGSA) has announced the departure of its long-standing President, Peter DeRaedt. The IGSA Board has expressed its deep gratitude to Peter for his 25 years of unwavering dedication and service.
DeRaedt’s departure marks the end of an illustrious career with the association in which he has been a pillar in harmonizing the diverse interests within the gaming industry. His dedication and leadership have been instrumental in establishing IGSA as a neutral advocate and authoritative voice in the industry. Under his leadership, the association developed numerous standards that have been adopted world-wide and which have had positive transformational impacts on many gaming companies.
In recognition of his contributions, the IGSA Board of Directors has appointed DeRaedt the honorary title of “President Emeritus” for life. The permanent title is a testament to his commitment and monumental impact on the industry. Additionally, DeRaedt will remain available in an advisory capacity to IGSA for the next two years.
In keeping with IGSA’s succession plan, Mark Pace, currently IGSA Vice President, will become acting President. Pace has been a part of IGSA for 20 years during which he has held various positions within the association including Committee Chair, Treasurer, Vice Chairman of the Board, and Founder and Managing Director of GSA Europe. The board will conduct a thorough vetting process before announcing the formal appointment of the next President at the first board meeting of 2024.
