VERONA, NY – Turning Stone will host a World Series of Poker® (WSOP) event on Wednesday, March 13, kicking off New York’s only WSOP Circuit Event and welcome thousands of guests traveling to the region for the 12-day tournament series. With a more than $2.5 million prize pool (though that number will likely grow to much larger), this year’s WSOP event at Turning Stone is projected to be the biggest yet.
The WSOP at Turning Stone attracts thousands of people from around the country to Upstate New York. From professional players to novice enthusiasts, all will be competing for more than $2.5 million in guaranteed payouts, 18 WSOP Gold Rings and a seat in the $1 million Tournament of Champions in Las Vegas this summer.
$2.5 million is the minimum guaranteed payout with actual payouts expected to far exceed that amount. During the 2023 WSOP tournament series, Turning Stone’s WSOP event had a $1 million guarantee and paid out more than $5 million. The 2024 WSOP at Turning Stone will run from Thursday, March 14 to Monday, March 25.
New in 2024 is the addition of a three-day $1 million guarantee event. The popular Monster Stack event will also return with a $200,000 guarantee, an increase of $100,000 from last year, and this year’s ladies tournament will have a $25,000 guarantee. Players will also have 18 opportunities to earn a Gold Ring, the trophy of the WSOP Circuit Event.
Beginning on March 14, registration opens daily prior to the day’s first event.
