SHELBYVILLE, MI – The Gun Lake Tribal Council has appointed Cean Burgeson as Public Information Director. In his role, Burgeson is responsible for managing and coordinating the various public affairs programs of the Gun Lake Tribe, along with handling internal communications and media relations.
Burgeson has more than 30 years of experience in communications, most recently in global corporate communications for Whirlpool Corporation. He has also worked in various tribal business operations during his career. Formerly, he was Communications Administrator for Little River Casino Resort in Manistee, MI, during their early growth and expansion, later becoming the Public Relations and Communications Manager for Cache Creek Casino Resort in Brooks, CA.
Through his consulting company, Burgeson was integral to the Habematolel Pomo Tribe regarding their communications and marketing strategy when they launched Running Creek Casino in Upper Lake, CA.
