COARSEGOLD, CA – The Chukchansi Economic Development Authority (CEDA), the business arm of the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians, has announced a $10,000 donation to support the Yosemite High School football team. The contribution reflects the tribe’s ongoing commitment to empowering local youth and enhancing community engagement through sports.

The Yosemite High School Badgers football program has faced significant financial challenges in recent years, including the lack of proper equipment for the community football program to train with.

“Our program has been neglected for 10 or more years and our status in the area is a reflection of that neglect,” said John Beck, Yosemite High School Athletic Director and Head Football Coach. “With your financial help, we will be better able to serve the needs of our football program, helping to increase the scope of influence our team will have on those in our community.”

The donation will fund much-needed equipment and resources for the team, helping to revitalize Badger football and strengthen the team’s presence both on the field and in the community.

“We are honored to support Yosemite High School’s football program,” said Tracey Hopkins, Chairwoman of the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians. “We believe that investing in our youth is an investment in the future, and we are excited to help this program, and our community grow and thrive. Go Badgers!”
