SAN CARLOS, AZ – The San Carlos Apache Gaming Enterprise has announced a $38,000 donation to 3:18 Ministries, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the San Carlos Apache reservation. The contribution comes at a crucial time as 3:18 Ministries continues its mission to spread love through action.
The donation was made possible through Shamrock Foods, which offers a 25-cent rebate on every box of product purchased, and the fund has been accumulating for years. The program was established to ensure the funds would eventually support a 501(c)(3) organization.
“Upon joining as chef, I was informed of the substantial balance in this account,” said Robert “Bobby” Vollmer, F&B Director at Apache Gold Casino & Resort. “Collaborating with the team at Apache Gold, we researched potential beneficiaries and ultimately chose 3:18 Ministries.”
Founded by Tory and Kara Satter two decades ago, 3:18 Ministries has become a beacon of hope and service within the community. Inspired by 1 John 3:18, the organization emphasizes the importance of loving in deed and truth. Over the past 10 years, it has focused on various outreach projects, including home-building efforts in partnership with the San Carlos Apache Housing Authority, exemplifying its commitment to the San Carlos Apache people.
Despite ongoing support, this year has posed significant financial challenges for 3:18 Ministries, limiting their ability to undertake numerous planned projects. The donation from the San Carlos Apache Gaming Enterprise will have a transformative impact on 3:18 Ministries, enabling them to continue their vital work on the reservation.
