Enterprise Rancheria, Hard Rock Sacramento to Donate $1 Million to Sutter Medical Foundation

WHEATLAND, CA – The Enterprise Rancheria Tribe, owner of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain, has announced a $1 million gift to Sutter Medical Foundation. The landmark donation – the largest ever received by Sutter Medical Foundation – will support the greater Yuba-Sutter County cancer patient and family population through programs, services, equipment, and other initiatives.

“We see the tremendous healthcare that our community receives from Sutter Medical and were inspired to partner with them for an extended period to unlock the possibility to transform cancer care for our greater Yuba-Sutter County community,” said Glenda Nelson, Chairwoman of Enterprise Rancheria.

Through funds raised at the annual Pinktober event hosted by Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento, Enterprise Rancheria and its affiliated Enterprise Community Fund, will make an annual donation of $200,000 per year for five years starting in 2024. The philanthropic investment will drive impactful innovations in cancer care for residents in and around Yuba and Sutter Counties and the greater Sacramento region.

“We are excited to be partnering with Enterprise Rancheria to shape the future of cancer care for everyone in our community, building the most comprehensive, integrated, and connected health system,” said Dr. Steven Dale Blair, President of Sutter North Medical Foundation.

“As we celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain, we are most proud of the more than $3 million of charitable donations and in-kind gifts both the tribe and the property have made to philanthropies throughout Northern California,” said Mark Birtha, President of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento. “As we look forward to the next five years, this $1 million gift to Sutter Medical Foundation continues our commitment to the communities we reside in and allows us to have a direct and positive impact on those in need in our region. It is truly transformative.”
