Sky River Casino Awards $25,000 to Non-Profits

Sky River Wreaths of Hope 2025

ELK GROVE, CA – Sky River Casino recently announced the winners of its third annual Wreaths of Hope, a holiday program that celebrates creativity and giving back. Sky River Casino initially committed $15,000 to local non-profits but surprised participants by adding $10,000, donating a total of $25,000 to these organizations.

Sky River Rewards members voted on their favorite decorated 48” wreaths throughout December 2024, which were displayed across the casino. 48,000 votes were cast, showcasing the community’s passion for supporting local causes during the holiday season.

The 2024 Wreaths of Hope competition showcased 10 non-profits from the Elk Grove and Sacramento County communities. Each organization received $2,000 for participating, doubling the original donation amount. The top three winners, earning the most votes, received additional cash prizes to further support their missions:

  • Paws for a Purpose ($2,500 prize)
  • Cosumnes Firefighters Community Support Foundation ($1,500 prize)
  • Elk Grove Food Bank ($1,000 prize)

The local non-profits that participated in this year’s program include Asian Resources Inc., Chicks in Crisis, Cosumnes Firefighters Community Support Foundation, Elk Grove Food Bank, End of Watch Fund, Paws for a Purpose, Project R.I.D.E., Runnin’ with Rhett, Senior Center of Elk Grove and Wilton Animal Rescue.
