Chukchansi Donates to Yosemite High School Badger’s Baseball Team

COARSEGOLD, CA – The Chukchansi Economic Development Authority (CEDA), the business arm of the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians, has announced a $5,000 donation to the Yosemite High School Badger Baseball Booster’s Club. The donation was approved at the CEDA Board meeting, highlighting the tribe’s dedication to supporting local organizations that foster community.

Yosemite High School’s baseball team has been in need of several crucial upgrades to enhance the safety and overall experience of both players and fans. The installation of a drainage system for the baseball fields is essential to ensure proper field conditions. Additionally, safety netting above both fields is required to protect spectators from errant balls. New uniforms are also needed.

The donation will help support Yosemite Badger baseball’s 2025 season by ensuring player safety and enhancing their facilities. In addition to hosting games and practices, their facility serves as a community hub, accommodating various events throughout the year.

“The Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians is honored to support the Yosemite High School Badger Baseball Boosters and their dedication to both their athletes and the community,” said Tracey Hopkins, Chairwoman of the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians. “The influence they’ve made on the community is truly remarkable, and we are proud to be a part of their continued success.”
