AGEM Index Increases 3.4 Percent in September

LAS VEGAS, NV – The AGEM Index increased by 50.33 points to 1,552.59 in September 2024, a 3.4 percent increase from the prior month. Compared to one year ago, the index rose 47.1 percent, or 496.89 points. During the latest month, six of the 12 AGEM Index companies reported stock price increases, which resulted in six positive contributions and six negative contributions to the AGEM Index.

The largest positive contributor to the monthly index was Aristocrat Leisure Limited (ASX: ALL), whose 7.1 percent increase in stock price led to a 53.66-point gain to the index. Meanwhile, Konami Corp. (TYO: 9766) saw its stock price increase by 10.7 percent, leading to a 43.16-point gain for the index.

In September, all three major U.S. stock indices increased from the prior period. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 1.5 percent over the month, while the NASDAQ rose by 0.9 percent. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 also increased by 0.9 percent from the prior month.
