Arizona Poker Championship Returns to Talking Stick

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Talking Stick Resort will host the 17th annual Arizona State Poker Championship Aug. 18-22. The five-day tournament is known for high stakes, skilled players, and this year, will feature a prize pool of over $1.1 million. 

Professional poker player Tiffany Michelle will serve as host once again. One of the most recognized women in poker, she has broken records at the World Series of Poker and is a gold ring holder. In 2008, she was the “Last Woman Standing” at the event, finishing 17th out of nearly 7,000 players.

The five-day tournament will begin at 9 a.m. each day in The Arena Poker Room, with the semi-finals on Monday, Aug. 21. To enter the tournament, players will pay a $1,100 buy-in giving them $20,000 in tournament chips to start. However, those who wish to start with more will have the opportunity to purchase an additional $10,000 in bonus chips for $30. Players who make it to day five will return at 10 a.m. and play until a new champion is crowned taking home the 2023 Arizona State Poker Champion title.
