KINGS MOUNTAIN, NC – Catawba Two Kings Casino in Kings Mountain, NC, recently provided 3,750 food items to Washington Outreach Ministry for its food distribution center, thanks to a promotion that encouraged patrons to bring and donate food items at the casino. This resulted in 16 large boxes filled with thousands of non-perishable food items.
“We ran a promotion at the casino to engage our patrons in bringing non-perishable food items to the casino in exchange for free play,” said Kathy George, President of the Catawba Nation Gaming Authority.” More than 700 of our patrons responded with donations to help support our community.”
The casino reached out to its regular patrons and provided a Catawba Two Kings Casino-branded FEED Project bag in which they could bring the food items – a minimum of five per week to qualify for the free play. FEED is a nationally acclaimed program in which each bag purchased helps feed people across the world.
“We thank the Catawba Nation, the casino and its generous patrons for this wonderful and useful donation for our food distribution center and the community members we serve,” said Rev. Frances Webber, Executive Director of Washington Outreach Ministry.
