DURANT, OK – The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is back at Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant for the final time in the 2023-2024 circuit.
The tournament starts on Jan. 3 and runs through Jan. 14, and players can register with their Choctaw Rewards Club card at the Grand Theater prior to the event they want to enter. The circuit is open to professionals and amateurs alike, with a wide range of events suited for all poker lovers.
“We love hosting the World Series of Poker at Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant,” said Kaley Green, Regional Director of Marketing for Durant. “It’s a great opportunity for recreational poker players to test their skills against professionals and have a chance to walk away winners.”
This is the third time the World Series of Poker has stopped at Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant this season. Twenty-one-year-old Southern Methodist University soccer player Harvey Castro won over $275,000 at the July tournament, and Brad Ruben won over $250,000 at the November tournament.
This month’s tournament features 18 events, including No Limit Hold ‘Em with a $300 buy in and $50,000 prize pool and No Limit Hold ‘Em with a $500 buy in and a $200,000 prize pool. The main event is a $1,700 buy in with a $1 million prize pool.
