DURANT, OK – Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant is hosting its first ever Choctaw Music Fest October 10-13 at the three-time ACM award-winning Grand Theater. The four-day festival will include performances from Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney and Foreigner, as well as a free ACM singer-songwriter acoustic event and a packed lineup of performances at Gilley’s.
Megan Moroney, who was named ACM New Female Artist of the Year in 2023, will open the festival on Thursday, followed on Friday night by Lainey Wilson. Wilson recently won a Grammy for best country album – Bell Bottom Country.
On Saturday, Foreigner is bringing its farewell tour to the Grand Theater. The rock band that brought the world hits like Waiting for a Girl Like You and I Want to Know What Love Is is finishing out its storied career with one final goodbye.
Gilley’s will also be hosting an ACM singer-songwriter event on Saturday, Oct. 12 from noon to 2:00pm with Trannie Anderson and Dallas Wilson, both of whom have written hit songs for Lainey Wilson and other country stars. Anderson and Wilson will perform songs they’ve written, discuss the writing process, share the inspiration behind hit songs and talk about what it’s like to write for the stars. The event is a small piece of Gilley’s free entertainment lineup as part of the Choctaw Music Fest.
