DURANT, OK – The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma (CNO) has been recognized on the Forbes List of America’s Best Large Employers for 2024. CNO is ranked at number 32 of 600 organizations, jumping 90 spots from last year’s ranking, making them the highest-ranked in three categories: Government Service Industry, Oklahoma-Based Company, and Tribal Nation.
“We are proud to be a tribal organization that associates enjoy being a part of and would recommend to their family and friends,” said Choctaw Nation Chief Gary Batton. “We will continue to do our part to remain an ‘Employer of Choice’ by ensuring our associates are supported as we fulfill our mission and vision to improve the lives of tribal members and strengthen our communities.”
The ranking is based on a survey of about 170,000 workers at American companies and institutions with 5,000 or more employees. Participants were asked to evaluate their employer based on a range of criteria, including if they would recommend their current employer to friends and family. New to the methodology this year was the inclusion of data from the past three years – with more recent data weighted more heavily – to better identify companies which have been consistently highly-rated over time. The final list ranks the 600 large employers that received the most recommendations.
