Comanche Nation Entertainment Breaks Ground on Comanche Cache Casino

Comanche Cache Casino Groundbreaking

LAWTON, OK – Comanche Nation Entertainment, along with its business partners and the Comanche Business Committee, recently celebrated the official groundbreaking of their newest gaming and entertainment venue. Comanche Cache Casino will be a 17,000 sq. ft. property located at the Cache exit on Quanah Parker Trail Way in Lawton. The project is planned for 250 gaming machines, a sit-down restaurant, open-air veranda and new convenience store and gas station.

“Our mission with all of our properties is to provide a fun and exciting experience for our guests, a safe and rewarding environment for our team members and prosperity for the Comanche Nation,” said Mia Tahdooahnippah, CEO of Comanche Nation Entertainment. “Comanche Cache Casino has been years in the making, and is a new opportunity for prosperity and success that will benefit our children and our people for generations to come.”

The property’s design will highlight Quanah Parker, a revered leader in the Comanche tribe. “We will incorporate our tribe’s rich history into this property and showcase it inside and outdoors with a mural on the building and outdoor veranda named after Quanah Parker, an important and innovative leader of our tribe.”

Quanah Parker’s great granddaughter LaNora Parker, who is also a member of the Comanche Business Committee, spoke about his significance with the tribe. “He was for progress,” she said. “He always took care of the people and looked into the future. He encouraged us to learn a new way but always remember who we are. We are Comanche.”

Tahdooahnippah said Cache holds a special place for her family as well, making the new casino even more meaningful. Her parents are both from Cache and her family settled in the area before Oklahoma became a state.

The groundbreaking celebration included a tribal blessing and performances by Comanche dancers, drummers and singers.

The new property is expected to employ more than 50 people and be a welcome boon to the Cache economy. “We look forward to the growth of this great town,” said Tahdooahnippah. “Comanche Cache Casino will build upon our reputation as leaders in the community and our industry. We look forward to a new era of success.”
