KINDER, LA – Coushatta Casino Resort, owned and operated by the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana, recently hosted a donations drive to benefit victims of Hurricane Ida in the hardest hit Terrebonne, Lafourche, St. Mary, and Assumption parishes. Coushatta tribal and casino associates raised $1,810 and gathered eight pallets of supplies including bottled water, non-perishable food, cleaning supplies and personal hygiene items.
With an escort by members of the Coushatta Tribal Police Force, casino services delivered the donations to the Terrebonne Churches United Food Bank, an affiliate of United Way, in the Houma, LA area as well as prepared and served approximately 800 hot meals to those present. The casino’s award-winning culinary team was joined by associate volunteers from organizational development and hospitality departments who prepared and served the food and beverages and helped distribute the supplies.
