BATTLE CREEK, MI – FireKeepers Casino Hotel’s restaurant, Nibi, has once again received the prestigious Best of Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator in their 2024 Restaurant Awards. This marks the third consecutive year that Nibi has been celebrated for its wine program, placing it among the world’s finest dining establishments for wine.
Launched in 1981, the Restaurant Awards represent the world’s only program focused exclusively on restaurant wine service. The Best of Award of Excellence recipients display excellent breadth across multiple wine-growing regions and/or significant vertical depth of top producers, along with superior presentation.
“Receiving Wine Spectator’s Best of Award of Excellence for the third consecutive year is an incredible honor for Nibi and the entire team at FireKeepers Casino Hotel,” said Michael Hamilton, VP of Food & Beverage. “This prestigious recognition reflects our relentless dedication to curating an exceptional wine program that delights and impresses our guests. We remain committed to continually elevating our offerings and providing an unparalleled dining experience that exceeds the expectations of wine aficionados and culinary enthusiasts alike, ensuring that Nibi continues to be a premier destination for extraordinary dining and world-class wine selections.”
Renowned for its culinary innovation, Nibi showcases American and regional cuisines, crafting a delightful array of flavors that harmonize with its extensive selection of over 300 wines. Nibi’s accolades with Wine Spectator began in 2017 with the Award of Excellence, a recognition maintained through 2021. The restaurant then progressed to earn the prestigious Best of Award of Excellence in both 2022 and 2023, and has now secured this honor once again in 2024. Additionally, Nibi holds the distinguished AAA Four Diamond designation, reflecting its commitment to offering an atmosphere of elegance and service to guests.
“The restaurant industry is growing and thriving, with restaurant opening surpassing pre-pandemic levels for the first time,” said Marvin R. Shanken, Editor and Publisher, Wine Spectator. “To take advantage of the uptick, restaurateurs are re-investing in their wine programs. Restaurants that make wine a priority are what the Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards program is all about. I’m pleased to congratulate all 3,777 restaurants for their dedication to wine and exemplary wine lists.”
