WASHINGTON, D.C. – Kelly Myers, Director of Government Affairs at GLI, has announced her candidacy for Associate Member Representative of the Indian Gaming Association (IGA). As a member of the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma, Myers has a proven 17 year track record of leadership and dedication to advancing the industry. She has pledged to prioritize enhancing communication channels and addressing the unique challenges faced by associate members within the industry. Her extensive experience includes spearheading successful initiatives to promote responsible gaming practices, further solidifying her as a driving force in the industry.
Prior to joining GLI, Myers was the Compliance and Licensing Manager for the Cherokee Nation Gaming Commission. She also served as Chairperson of the Oklahoma Tribal Gaming Regulators Association and Chairperson of the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma Gaming Commission. Previously, she was Chief Operations Officer for the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma Enterprises and has served as a Board Member for the National Tribal Gaming Commission Regulators.
Myers was named National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA) Regulator of the Year in 2019, received the 2016 NIGA Chairman’s Leadership Award, and was recognized by The National Center for American Indian Economic Development (NCAIED) as a Top 40 Under 40 leader.
