ROHNERT PARK, CA – Recently, 38 award-winning chefs, including Graton Resort & Casino’s VP of Food & Beverage, William Becker, participated in the Guy Fieri Foundation’s Chefs for Maui Fundraiser in Northern California wine country to support disaster operations and raise money for relief supplies for Maui’s communities. The event featured a 15-course dining experience, a chef meet-and-greet, live music and auctions to help fundraise.
“The fires in August devastated the island and the communities in it,” said William Becker, VP of Food & Beverage at Graton Resort & Casino. “Maui is still recovering and will be for a while. The entire Graton Resort & Casino food and beverage team is honored to participate in the Guy Fieri Foundation’s Chefs for Maui event and support relief efforts.”
In addition to Becker, participating chefs included Michael Mina, Hunter Fieri, Jonathon Sawyer, Ming Tsai, Tiffani Faison, Amanda Freitag, Britt Rescigno, Brooke Williamson, and others.
All net proceeds from the event support the food service workers of Maui and the Salvation Army Hawaiian & Pacific Islands Division.
