EL CAJON, CA – Joe Busby has been promoted to Vice President of Finance at Sycuan Casino Resort. “Joe has been an integral part of our team for many years and has worked hard to earn this promotion,” said Rob Cinelli, General Manager. “I look forward to working with Joe and his team to continue moving Sycuan forward for many years to come.”
Busby has over 20 years of experience in the gaming industry having worked in both commercial and tribal gaming operations in multiple jurisdictions. His experience includes casino finance and operations, public accounting, internal and external audit, anti-money laundering, and regulatory compliance. He holds numerous certifications, which include Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist, and Certified Fraud Examiner.
Busby’s role as VP of Finance will include oversight of various departments within the organization to include accounting, revenue audit, payroll, accounts payable, compliance, cage, drop, and count. He will act as liaison between the casino and various internal and external regulatory agencies including the Sycuan Gaming Commission, the Internal Revenue Service, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, and other state and federal agencies.
