TEMECULA, CA – Journey at Pechanga recently won state and national recognition in three seperate golf course rankings. The rankings in NBC’s GolfPass 2024 Best Public California and Best Public U.S. Golf Course were released this month, and Journey at Pechanga ranked number one in the Top 25 Public Golf Courses in California list, and at the number five slot in the Top 50 U.S. Public Golf Courses.
GolfPass examined nearly 300,000 golfer-submitted course reviews throughout 2023 and the winners in each category rose to the top of the leaderboards. In GolfPass reviews, golfers are asked to rate a host of course factors including design, conditioning, but also value, off-course amenities and service.
Additionally, the Golf Range Association of America released its 2023 Best Public Range results in mid-January. For a seventh year, Journey at Pechanga earned a spot on the association’s Top 50 Public Facilities list. Other courses on the list include those where PGA events are regularly held.
“Our crews work so hard to put forward incredible golf conditions every day,” said Mario Ramirez, Superintendent of Journey at Pechanga. “These awards are truly a testament to them.”
“It’s the terrain, the uniqueness of each hole that makes the game here enjoyable,” said Scott Mallory, Journey at Pechanga Director of Golf. “Our staff also puts their all into providing every guest with caring and attentive service. It’s a great feeling to see our guests notice and take the time to write amazing reviews for us.”
Journey at Pechanga’s championship golf course is consistently rated among the top public courses in California and services approximately 36,500 rounds of golf each year. The par-72, 18-hole golf course winds across 7,219 yards. The course presents a range of topography – canyons, ravines, open fairways and even a tee shot with a 175-foot drop and is nestled on preserved and sacred tribal grounds.
