In the first-ever College Football Playoff Quarterfinals, the #6 Penn State Nittany Lions will face the #3 Boise State Broncos. This marks a milestone for KNNB Apache Radio as it continues to bring sports events to the White Mountain Apache Tribe and its global audience.
Veteran local sports broadcasters Alvin Declay and Jerry Gloshay, known for their play-by-play coverage of Alchesay High School Falcon and Lady Falcon football, basketball, and baseball games, will deliver the commentary in Apache.
