BRIDGEPORT, NY – The Oneida Indian Nation has announced that Point Place Casino will undergo a large-scale expansion in the coming months that will double its gaming floor, add a new hotel, new dining options and updated lounge. The expansion comes in response to the demand from guests for additional amenities at Point Place Casino, as well as the explosive growth and economic development occurring across Central New York.
With a more than $50 million investment from the Oneida Indian Nation, the expansion will include:
- Expanded Gaming – Point Place Casino’s gaming floor will double in size during the expansion.
- New Hotel – The expansion will include a brand-new, multi-story hotel with 100 guest rooms and eight luxury suites. Inside a lobby area, guests will enjoy a Perfect Pour Cafe satellite location, while an event area will accommodate meetings, celebrations and other gatherings.
- More Dining Choices – A new restaurant will offer guests American grill-style fare, while popular dining venue The Burgers of Madison County will add breakfast service alongside its existing lunch and dinner menus.
- A Reinvention of The Fireside Lounge – Already a favorite local spot, the Fireside Lounge will double in size, adding an expanded bar area and creating a 360-degree view of its wood-burning fireplace. New seating will make the lounge an even more inviting place for guests to enjoy a cocktail, craft beer or wine around the fire.
The Oneida Indian Nation has anticipated the need for this expansion project for some time, with the popularity of Point Place Casino rapidly outgrowing its existing space. Since its creation in 2018, visitors have requested lodging to accommodate weekend trips, additional dining options, and expanded choices in gaming.
Now, as the region flourishes in a period of rapid development, Point Place Casino’s expansion will offer the new amenities and opportunities needed to meet the rising demand.
“Listening to our guests is one of the reasons the Oneida Indian Nation’s enterprises have been so successful,” said Oneida Indian Nation Representative and Turning Stone Enterprises CEO Ray Halbritter. “With constant requests for more of everything Point Place Casino offers since its opening, we knew this expansion was more than necessary. As Central New York continues to experience an extremely exciting period of unprecedented growth, we are committed to continuing historic investments like this in our enterprises and the region to sustain this level of economic success for generations to come.”
“The Oneida Indian Nation has been a dedicated partner to Madison County for many years,” said John Pinard, Chairman of the Madison County Board of Supervisors. “We are confident that this latest investment in Point Place Casino will continue to create jobs and spur expanded economic activity that will help make Bridgeport and its surrounding communities even better places to live and work.”
In addition to its investments in capital projects at Point Place Casino, the expansion is also an investment in the Nation’s workforce, one of the largest in the region. Construction related to the expansion is estimated to create 250 construction and permanent full-time and part-time jobs.
