CORNING, CA – The Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians, through the Paskenta Nomlaki Foundation, provided 1,700 local families with essential food items for a traditional holiday dinner during its fifth annual drive-thru community food distribution event at The Links at Rolling Hills Casino and Resort.
“The holidays should be a time of joy for everyone, and we’re committed to supporting our community, especially during these challenging economic times,” said Tribal Chairman Brandin Paya. “We hope these meals bring comfort, nourishing, and a sense of celebration to our local families’ tables this holiday season. The Paskenta Nomlaki Foundation is dedicated to supporting our local community throughout the year.”
Each family received two bags of food containing holiday-themed food items, including traditional favorites such as turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, gravy, green beans, corn, stuffing, and bread rolls. The Corning Rotary also picked up 150 boxes and distributed them directly to the Rancho Tehama community.
