Pauma Yuima Band to Break Ground on New Travel Plaza

Pauma Heritage Quickstop

PAUMA VALLEY, CA – The Pauma Yuima Band of Luiseño Indians will break ground on a new travel plaza, the Pauma Heritage Quickstop, marking a significant milestone for the tribe and surrounding community.

Located at the intersection of Highway 76 and Pauma Reservation Road, the Pauma Heritage Quickstop will feature a variety of modern amenities, including a convenience store, gas station, drive-through Starbucks Coffee and EV charging stations.

The new development reflects the tribe’s ongoing commitment to progress, economic growth, and community support. For decades, the Pauma Yuima Band has prioritized philanthropy and service – ranging from charitable contributions to job creation – upholding a proud tradition of giving back to Pauma Valley. The Pauma Heritage Quickstop also represents the tribe’s diversification, building upon successes such as Casino Pauma. The initiatives enable the Pauma Tribe to strengthen cultural preservation efforts, provide educational opportunities, and pass on cherished traditions to future generations.

“The Pauma Tribe is excited and proud to bring a travel center to the Pauma Valley community,” said Temet Majel, Pauma Tribal Chairman. “It will create jobs, convenience, and a sense of community for tribal members and community members alike.”
