Casa for Kings County, also known as Court Appointed Special Advocates, is a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for the best interests of abused and neglected children within the Kings County foster care system. By training and supporting community volunteers, Casa provides a consistent, caring presence for these children, ensuring their voices are heard in court and their needs are met. This critical work helps to secure safe, permanent homes and brighter futures for vulnerable youth.
“I would like to thank Tachi Palace Casino Resort for the recent donation of $37,201.16 raised for Casa of Kings County through their charity golf tournament,” said Maritza Lemus, Executive Director of Casa of Kings County. “This generous contribution will significantly impact foster children in Kings County as we recruit and train more volunteers to serve as their advocates. Having a caring advocate means they are more likely to succeed, thrive, and have hopeful futures.”
