PORTAGE, MI – TribalHub will host the 5th Annual Tribal Cybersecurity Summit on February 26-28 at Miccosukee Casino & Resort in Miami, FL. The summit, in person after four years as a virtual event, gives an opportunity for leaders working at tribes and tribal enterprises to connect with top cybersecurity experts and fellow leaders to address the most pressing cyber threats facing tribes today.
“As we mark the 5th Annual TribalHub Cybersecurity Summit, we remain committed to empowering leaders and IT professionals working at tribal governments, casinos, enterprises and health facilities, with the tools and knowledge to defend against ever-evolving cyber threats,” said Mike Day, TribalHub Executive Officer and Board Member of the Tribal-ISAC Steering Committee. “This event continues to be a vital platform for fostering collaboration, sharing insights, and building stronger, more resilient tribal governments and enterprises.”
From keynote speakers, an optional golf event and a vendor expo to Tribal-ISAC working groups, sessions, and a meet-and-greet event, the summit aims to empower and educate those working at tribal governments and enterprises.
“Our data shows that over 40% of tribes report not having a dedicated cyber resource,” said Day. “This must change given the current global climate. At the very least, leaders in tribal governments and enterprises need to be aware of the resources available to help them protect and safeguard their organizations, and ultimately, their sovereignty.”
“Today, leaders working in tribal government, gaming and health must understand cyber threats and how cybersecurity mitigates these risks,” said Lee Edberg, Director of Cybersecurity at Mystic Lake Casino Hotel.
