DURANT, OK – The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit event began at Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant this week.
The tournament began on Wednesday, July 17 with a $130 buy-in seniors event. It will last until Sunday, July 28 with the $1 million championship event being held on Saturday, July 27. The circuit also features a ladies event, no-limit hold ‘em with a $50,000 prize pool, and a $200,000 prize pool, among others.
The World Series of Poker Circuit has become a staple at the Durant casino, attracting top-level and amateur players from around the country. At the last WSOP Circuit in Durant, Jonathan Glendinning of Boulder, CO, won nearly $232,000. Players of any skill level are encouraged to compete.
Players not ready to compete on the World Series of Poker stage can brush up on their poker skills inside the poker room in Sky Tower where there will be cash games from July 17-28. In between poker, players can also enjoy the gaming floor to earn entries into Three Months Three Millionaires, the casino’s summer promotion that will make three rewards club members millionaires this summer.
